Big problems require....

a Big Intervention.

Now, this is important. So important I've put my cigarette out, stopped browsing for p0rn and permalinked it.

How old are you? 25? Older? Ok then, let's begin…

Cast your mind back, all the way back to 1997. Strains of “Things can only get better” booming out over jubilant crowds. A balmy night in May when we saw a charming, beaming young man take over the reins of this country. He was energetic, determined and above all a man of the people. It saw the end of many, many years of Tory rule. The people had spoken and they had said “We want Tony”.

Now, back to the present. Still with us? Good.

Tony Blair no longer has the trust of the people. He no longer has the trust of the party. He has become an electoral liability, hence why none of the recent Labour campaign material had his image on the front, compared to 4 years ago when his Cheshire cat grin was all over them

Now, this isn’t about Labour (at least, not yet), as I still think they have a chance to turn this country around and do the best for the people (who, after all, they work for).

It is however about Tony Blair. I don’t know what happened, but about 3 or 4 years into his Prime Ministership he went off the rails. He forgot that his responsibilities lie with the people of this country. He became a puppet of America. He has since carried out some of the most terrible political decisions in recent history. There are many, many reasons he must go.

This is the man who said:
"We should have the confidence to open up the debate, be honest about the challenges, lay out the real choices".

Well, OK, we're ready.

Please, visit bigintervention.org.uk and join in the protest. Let your MP know that you feel Tony Blair is no longer capable of leading the Labour Party to victory in the next General Election. Let’s get rid of this fool once and for all.

As someone recently said, "let's make 'Well, i voted for Labour last time, but.....' the new black".
